I specialize in collaboration challenges. The success of an organization—and the enjoyment people find in their work—largely depends on how well teams collaborate. In practice, it is clear every day that there is still a lot to gain in this area.
Collaboration issues are diverse and ever-present. For instance, there is the initial collaboration within and between teams, where the focus is on building a culture of open communication, mutual learning, and a willingness to engage in constructive confrontation without hardening relationships—instead, using it to make things better.
Then there are complex collaboration challenges, such as during reorganizations or in project teams composed of multiple organizations, where not only do different cultures come together, but also a range of different interests are at play.
I’m particularly intrigued by cases where people, teams, or organizations feel stuck. This raises the question, “How do we help everyone truly move forward—both with the work and with each other?”
I take a “no-blame” approach; I do not believe in pointing fingers, but rather in using a systemic approach. This means I explore, analyze, and examine the functioning of individuals and teams in the broader context of the organization or even society as a whole.
In my work, I like to define boundaries within the system, so it is clear what we are focusing on, and I involve the people directly concerned. My guidance is not an outside analysis purely from an expert stance; instead, it is a dialogue with the people I am working with.
My approach is marked by involvement, honesty—I address what needs to be addressed and serve the needs of the organization. It is practical and effective. I have a background in systemic and psychodynamic methods and a range of techniques to support development and guidance within organizations.
